Dear Washoe County Commissioners,
I am writing to you today to request an investigation into Eric Brown, the Washoe County Manager, for ethics violations related to his involvement in covering up his wife’s drunk driving incident.
Melody was driving nearly four times the legal limit, got in an accident, and never received a DUI or jail time. We suspected that Eric Brown had helped cover up for his wife, and now, with new information from a whistleblower, we understand that he did, and he wasn’t alone.
According to the whistleblower, several public servants or officials were involved in helping Melody Brown avoid the consequences of her actions. We believe that this behavior is unethical and demands a full investigation.
Furthermore, the court ruling in Melody Brown’s case shows that she received vastly different treatment than others with similar charges. This raises serious questions about the fairness and impartiality of the legal system, particularly when it comes to those with connections to those in power.
We urge you to take action and investigate Eric Brown for his involvement in this cover-up. His ethics are in question, and we believe that a full investigation will help shed light on any potential wrongdoing and hold those responsible accountable.
