WCSD Superintendent Enfield releases HER plan for stopping the dangerous school dysfunction and chaos

The following are recent reports from WCSD school staff, students, and parents who have reached out to Education Crusade. School staffs’ fear to publicly state their names is caused by the Superintendent’s administrative policies, supported by the School Board,  that threaten staff members who share with the public what is actually happening in our schools.

Psychological Damage from Mis-teaching about Sex and Identity

“Almost half of my middle school girl students are so depressed, confused about their identity, and angry about the transgender brainwashing forced on them, that they are cutting themselves and talking obsessively about suicide. -WCSD Middle School Staff

Extreme Fear from Schools’ Unwillingness to Control Violence and Threats

“The out-of-control violence at my schools has my students so fearful, that when they come into a classroom, they tell me that the first thing they’re thinking about is planning an escape route and what weapons they could use to protect themselves.”

“But, it is NOT fear of OUTSIDE intruders coming into the school to harm them, as the Superintendent and School Board portray it.  The kids are afraid of the insanely dangerous and threatening bullies and gang members who are ON campus every day – yet the school refuses to remove them.” -WCSD Middle School staff

“I did some research on the internet and found that WCSD admitted to 16 gun incidents on their school campuses last year.  The report said that 10 gun incidents were at middle schools, 3 at the high schools, and 3 at the elementary schools. What is done to the students who did this, and why was this information not reported immediately to all parents and the public?” -WCSD high school parent

Allowing Daily, Blatant Drug Dealing: A Magnet for Gang Involvement

“At our high school, virtually EVERY day in the cafeteria between 7:30 and 7:45, the school’s main drug dealer meets with 15-20 students who surround him to deal drugs, so that no one can see what’s going on.”

“The administrators KNOW about both of these situations, but have repeatedly refused to confront them.” -WCSD HS staff at multiple high schools

“I have called the principal of my child’s school, AND the Superintendent’s Office to report drug  incidents, and I have received no response.” -Parents from multiple high schools

Violence Caused by Violation of Federal Special Education Laws

“At our MS (and other schools), our severe Special Education classes have up to TWICE as many students in them as they are supposed to have, and this out-of-control situation is what has made our in-school violence increase. This is a violation of federal law and should be reported.” -WCSD Middle School staff

CONSTANT Racial Slurs Allowed by All Students EXCEPT White Ones

All the talk about “racism” against non-White students is ridiculous. ALL day, EVERY day, Black and Latino students use the racial slur “N_ _ ga” to refer to each other AND staff members, including in classes, and NOTHING is done about it.  Meanwhile, ANY White student heard using that type of language is immediately punished.

“My child told me a Black student recently stood up in her class and shouted, “I hate White people!”  The teacher did not respond in any way.” -100% consensus among students, staff members, and parents who reported to Education Crusade from over 15 WCSD high schools and middle schools

WCSD Superintendent Susan Enfield Explains HER Plan for Stopping the Dangerous/Violent Student Behavior

In a February 22, 2023 memo addressed to “Building Administrators,” WCSD Supt. Enfield explained HER plan for stopping the stabbings, teacher assaults, student drug epidemic, growing gang presence, and daily vicious fighting, that have resulted in school environments so dangerous and chaotic that there is essentially NO learning taking place.

The Superintendent’s memo included the following concrete steps she is taking to make our children safe.

• There was NO mention of any of the specific and lethal crimes taking place at the schools on a daily basis. The Superintendent euphemistically referred to all of the felony-level crimes occurring regularly such as sexual assault, teacher assault, drug/alcohol abuse, beating, robberies, and stabbings, simply as “learning disruptions” and “major behavior events.” ?

• Enfield promised to handle these situations by giving principals “training support for trauma-informed practices, behavior support, de-escalation, adult SEL, and more.” ??

• The Superintendent promised to “… underscore the relationship between safe learning environments and academic outcomes.”  ???

 • Enfield’s memo told principals to make sure, “All staff have access to the Behavior Manual, follow the guidance in the Behavior Matrix, and link it to their websites,” and also, “For threats of violence, you must follow the threat inquiry/assessment process.” ????

• Finally, the Superintendent emphasized her PERSONAL commitment to the issue of dangerous student behavior by giving principals the names of several district specialists they could call for help, NONE of whom happened to be her. This last point was consistent with Enfield’s statement in her recent “State of Education speech, when she shared how she would deal with the daily vicious assaults on teachers: “I’m going to reflect on that.”
