Around 2012, Portland and Seattle changed their Homeless Laws, enabling the homeless to occupy any public place defining it as, “Homeless Rights.” Since their “Homeless Rights.” law was enacted, homicides have increase by 328% in Portland, car thefts are at a 25 year high, and overdose deaths increased by 400%.
On Monday March 6, 2023 the Nevada Senate debated enacting the exact same “Homeless Rights.” law SB142 & SB155 which will deliver the exact same death and destruction to every city and town in the state of Nevada.
- Seattle and Portland already tested this common sense failure, and it turned out very poorly but Nevada Democrats are a special kind of stupid and are running our future into the meat grinder at the direction of the ACLU.
- Unsurprisingly, the homeless suffered the most from this policy. Their mortality rate increased dramatically. Many homeless suffer from drug and alcohol addictions. When you allow drug addicts to camp in any public space and consume drugs and drink there will be increased crime, public safety costs, death, property destruction and economic depression.
